Ouachita Baptist University’s J.D. Patterson School of Natural Sciences had a record number of 28 students conducting faculty-advised research during summer break through its Patterson Summer Research Program. Twenty-five of these summer researchers also attended the Central Arkansas Undergraduate Symposium, held July 24 at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Ark., and presented their findings.

Cedarville University welcomed a record-breaking freshman class to campus beginning August 16 for its annual Getting Started Weekend. Approximately 1,000 freshmen started their 1,000 days at Cedarville August 16-18, exceeding last year’s record-breaking class of 911.

Tears were shed, hugs shared, and high fives exchanged. And for one family in particular, thanks were given for an achievement that seemed beyond comprehension nearly 18 years ago.

Social media platforms influence the flow of information and technologically mediated communication during a storm. In 2015, Stewart and Wilson introduced the STREMII (pronounced STREAM-ee) as a six-phase model for social media crisis communication in an eff ort to assist institutions and organizations during unanticipated events, using the crisis of Hurricane Sandy as an applied example. The purpose of this paper is to explore, in some depth, the functions of interorganizational collaboration (IOC) by analyzing the Chief Resilience Officer (CRO) role in 5 US cities. The CRO can act as a key network collaborator or boundary spanner – managing relationships, communication and strategic responses within and across organizations.
