The study aims to find out the level of privacy awareness among the users of the Academic Social Networks (ASNs). This study aims at reviewing the role and place of academic libraries in creating oral history collections with the aim of its preservation and application in these libraries. This paper examines awareness, perception and involvement of Nigerian youths in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as the roles of libraries as stakeholders in achieving SDGs. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) policy guideline and funding programme was instituted upon 17 goals and 169 targets expected to be achieved by all member countries between 2016 when it came into effect and 2030. Evolution Of An Institutional Repository: A Case History From Nebraska, Paul Royster

The 13-year history of the institutional repository (IR) at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is recounted with emphasis on local conditions, administrative support, recruitment practices, and management philosophy. Practices included offering new services, hosting materials outside the conventional tenure stream, using student employees, and providing user analytics on global dissemination. Acquiring trust of faculty depositors enhanced recruitment and extra-library support. Evolution of policies on open access, copyright, metadata, and third-party vendors are discussed, with statistics illustrating the growth, contents, and outreach of the repository over time. A final section discusses future directions for scholarly communications and IRs in particular.

Despite successful application of organizational learning to enhance services in academic libraries, little is known about organizational learning in libraries of for-profit colleges and universities (FPCUs). A quantitative online survey, followed by qualitative interviews, served to assess and explore the use of organizational learning in libraries at FPCUs. Data reflected medium to high levels of organizational learning in the libraries studied, as well as a negative relationship between organizational learning and number of students enrolled. The study investigated the use of ICT for security and theft prevention in two university libraries in Nigeria. Population of the study is made up of 80 library staff of the two universities, 40 library staff from Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina and 40 library staff from Al-Qalam University Katsina. This study investigated manpower planning, total quality management (TQM) and service delivery in academic libraries. Descriptive survey research design was adopted. The population of the study was 83 staff comprising 45 librarians and 38 library officers in the university libraries of the seven universities in Ondo State, Nigeria.
