We present a general purpose discrete-event, stochastic simulation model (HARVEST) which can be used to model the population growth of a wide variety of animal species. A complete example is given with validation, to show how it can be used for managing the Eastern wild turkey. The structure of the simulation system (micro Passim) is described, and the implementation of the model is discussed as an example of how the process-interaction simulation protocol may be used to represent a complex natural system.
