The objectives of this study were to first, determine whether high school students have the perception that they have problems finding clothing that fits their bodies, as well as the second objective which was to determine if the problem is common among both athletes and non-athletes or if one group finds fit of apparel more problematic. The purpose of this study was to explore the role of athletic program participation in middle and junior high school students' self-perceptions of body image, body satisfaction and apparel fit satisfaction. A survey was used to assess the students' self-perception of individual body image, satisfaction with different areas of the body and satisfaction with apparel fit. The research also assessed the accuracy between the students' perceived body image on a body image scale and their 3D body scan image. College students are at an important time in their lives as they move from financial dependence to financial independence. Given this concern, motivating young adults to save is an important objective. Research on college students and their finances has focused on credit card use. The current study explored the relationship between financial social learning opportunities and financial behaviors of African American college students at one HBCU. Similar studies have been done at predominately white institutions and community colleges, but none examined 1890 historically black colleges.

The purpose of this study was to investigate apparel issues experienced by plus-size female teens aged 12-17 in the context of the functional, expressive, and aesthetic (FEA) consumer needs model. The specific objectives were to: (1) Examine whether current American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) sizing categories meet the measurement needs of participants; (2) identify specific areas of the body where these individuals were not satisfied with the fit of their current ready-to-wear apparel; and (3) explore the current U.S. ready-to-wear apparel FEA needs for this target group.

The purpose of this study is to identify the strategies and skills parents utilized to provide for their family's basic survival needs, and the beliefs and values they embraced during the Great Depression to provide for the physical and emotional needs of their families in the midst of economic hardship. A qualitative research design utilizing a narrative inquiry approach was used to explore these issues.
