This research was designed to develop a quantity food preparation study guide of selected topics combining the basic knowledge in the purchasing, production, and storage of foods and the related principles of food science. A 66-item cognitive achievement test was developed to measure cognitive change. Marshall and Merritt's (1985) Learning Style Questionnaire (LSQ) was used to investigate the relationship between respondents' learning styles and cognitive change between pre- and posttest administrations. The purpose of this study was to identify the need for home economics teachers in Iowa's public schools for the next decade. This was done by determining current home economics teachers' retirement and resignation plans and teachers' and principals' perceptions about curricular trends in home economics for the next decade. The overall objective of this study was to examine factors influencing total debt, total debt payment, and patterns of debt payments. The study examined the impacts of both psychological (credit attitudes and perception of future income) and socioeconomic variables on total debt, total debt payment and patterns of debt payments;A conceptual model for this study was developed by incorporating the theory of borrower risk, the economic and psychological economic theory of borrowing, and the results of previous studies. Gifts of clothing comprise a high proportion of all gifts given and are important to the apparel market. This research used a holistic focus to interpret behavior of mother-child dyads as related to giving gifts of clothing.
