The purpose of this study was to identify current research trends and clarify the changing direction of studies on luxury hotels. Scholarly studies published between 1994 and 2014 were examined through content analysis, using such keywords as "luxury hotels", "deluxe hotels", "upscale hotels", "high-end hotels", and "four- or five-star hotels". The contributions were then screened to focus on luxury hotel-centered topics. The search revealed 70 qualified scholarly research articles. Conceptual studies were limited, with empirical studies representing a majority of the luxury hotel researches. The purpose of this study was to investigate apparel issues experienced by plus-size female teens aged 12-17 in the context of the functional, expressive, and aesthetic (FEA) consumer needs model. The specific objectives were to: (1) Examine whether current American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) sizing categories meet the measurement needs of participants; (2) identify specific areas of the body where these individuals were not satisfied with the fit of their current ready-to-wear apparel; and (3) explore the current U.S. ready-to-wear apparel FEA needs for this target group.

The purpose of this study was to understand and predict young consumers' purchase behaviors related to fair trade products. Based on the theory of planned behavior (Ajzen, 1991), causal relationships among personal values, beliefs, attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and purchase intentions associated with fair trade products were examined. Data were collected via Web-based surveys from a random sample of female college students at a large Midwestern U.S. university. The purpose of this study was to investigate unsecured debt and the practice of saving early for retirement by recent female college graduates. An electronic survey was conducted to assess graduates from the calendar years 1994--2004. An over-sampling of Family and Consumer Sciences majors was conducted for comparison. The amount of debt, amount of retirement savings, attitudes toward retirement, and expectations toward retirement were investigated. Iowa's citizens during World War II became soldiers in their loyalty, energy, and commitment as they fought on one or more of the home fronts. These four home fronts (historic terms) were the farm, production, community, and kitchen fronts. The farm front as part of the Food for Freedom campaign produced corn, soybeans, eggs, pork, beef, milk, and hemp for the Armed Services and the Allies. The major purposes of this study were to describe families operating bed and breakfast operations in New York State, explore family coping behaviors used by bed and breakfast operators, and examine factors affecting life satisfaction. Results were analyzed from responses of 174 bed and breakfast operators to a questionnaire that elicited data on coping behaviors, demographics, time management, and life satisfaction. Mean scores of coping behaviors indicated that bed and breakfast operators appear to employ most frequently coping behaviors in the maintaining perspective/reducing tension coping pattern.
