Patricia Pickard, a lifelong Pentecostal from Bangor, Maine, has been an avid collector of Christian materials for many years, with particular interest in the Pentecostal movement in New England and New Brunswick. She also collected a wide range of material from other Christian sources, including 19th century writings. The Collection includes copies of newsletters and interviews that report on the early Pentecostal Revival in northern Maine and New Brunswick, as well as a number of personal diaries with Sermon Notes, recording a wide range of Pentecostal preachers over the years.

Professor of Old Testament and Hebrew, and then President at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Sampey was a founder of the Baptist World Alliance and a veteran of forty-six years on the International Sunday School Lesson Committee. Sampey was author of several books including The Ethical Teaching of Jesus (1909) and The Heart of the Old Testament (1922). This collection preserves his papers in an edition of 1,332 microfiche.

Robertson helped found the Baptist World Alliance in 1900. He was an important Southern Baptist and a well-respected scholar in his day. In all, he published forty-five books, several of which are still in print today. Two that are still consulted are his Word Pictures in the New Testament and his landmark volume A Grammar of the Greek New Testament in Light of Historical Research. As the son-in-law of famous preacher John Broadus (Robertson’s grave lies in the shadow of Broadus), Robertson sought to equip his students with the proper tools for good preaching. Joseph Mattsson-Bozé became a leader in the "Latter Rain," a splinter movement within Pentecostalism in the 1940s and 1950s. His papers range in date from 1933 to the early 1970s and include correspondence with significant figures in classical independent Pentecostal circles. A full run of the Swedish journal Trons Härold, which became the English journal Herald of Faith, can be found in the collection. Other short-lived Swedish and English journals help comprise the Mattsson-Bozé Collection. A. C. Dixon was a Baptist clergyman and writer. He served as pastor to churches in North Carolina, Maryland, New York, and Massachusetts and as minister to the Moody Church in Chicago and the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London, England. The collection includes addresses, articles, biographical material, book manuscripts, booklets, conference programs, correspondence, date books, subject files, 1300 sermons and notes, and scrapbooks.

Three generations of Brougher American Baptist pastors have led the First Baptist Church of Glendale: James Whitcomb Brougher, James Whitcomb Brougher Jr. and Frank R. Brougher. The Broughers developed collections of sermons, published and unpublished materials and personal papers that have supported their work and document their ministries as preachers and pastors. The archival materials and research notes, both print and recorded, are of local, regional and national significance. A nearly complete run, 1927-2008, of The Herald, First Baptist Church, Glendale has been cataloged as an archived periodical.

Mullins (1860-1928) served as Professor of Theology and then President at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. This massive collection of 2044 microfiche preserves his papers. A theological moderate, author of Axioms of Religion (1908), Baptist Beliefs (1912) and The Christian Religion in its Doctrinal Expression (1917) he led the Southern Baptists to adopt their first confessional statement (1925) and in their rejection of Darwin’s evolutionary theory, but insisted that the Bible was authoritative in “religious opinions” only.

In May of 2003 the Lyman Stewart papers at Biola University consisted of 36 alphabetized letterboxes, 1 notebook, 27 letterbooks with alphabetized indexes, the records of the Testimony Publishing Co. (which published The Fundamentals) and a collection of miscellaneous letters. The papers were still in the order in which Biola received them from Stewart's widow in the 1950s, and they were filmed in that same order. On the last fiche, no. 701, is a brief biographical sketch of Stewart by James O. Henry, as published in the February 1958 issue of The King's Business.
