This paper presents a short introduction to neural networks and how they are used for machine translation and concludes with some discussion on the current research challenges being addressed by neural machine translation (NMT) research. Intelligent Computer Assisted Language Learning (ICALL) systems follow an accepted format, which utilizes an artiﬁcially intelligent tutor. The systems allow the user to input a sentence in the target language and the AI tutor analyzes the sentence and provides error correction. This approach can be expensive, impractical, and inﬂexible. The use of video podcasts in education has emerged as a phenomenon that has gained a considerable amount of attention over the last few years.
