Graphic medicine - or the communication of health-related narratives through images and texts, such as comics - has been increasingly recognized as a powerful educational tool. My project investigates the value of integrating graphic medicine to medical education, specifically to improve mental health literacy and de-stigmatize mental illness. Healthcare professionals and students experience pain points on a daily basis, but are not given the tools, training, or opportunity to help solve them in new, potentially better ways. Lightweighting is essential for the reduction of energy consumption in transportation. The most common approach is through the application of high specific strength and stiffness materials, such as composites and high performance aluminum alloys. Vila is designed to relieve this stress by introducing warm lighting into their workspace. Warm light at 2200 to 3000 Kelvin has been proven to reduce stress. Lighting is also considered work appropriate as it is essentially non-disturbing to coworkers.

SENS utilizes an elastic strap on the back of the controller to keep it attached to your hand while capacative zones track your fingers. With SENS, you can reach out and grab objects in the virtual world. The second half of the SENS system, a haptic vest meant to make the user 'feel' virtual reality. The vest was developed along with the controllers, meant to work together to deliver a more immersive experience. As a system, they share similar form language, colors, and technology.
