I present this statement under three loose categories: People, Objects and their Environment. I consider People as human, Objects as art objects, domestic objects, and food, and Environment as the shared space of the former groups. Food directs this statement as I present each concept and creative process as a metaphorical dish. Material exploration carried me from a direct practice of reorienting acrylic paint and questioning object functionality through personified sculptures into theoretical thesis work in which I use interpersonal relations and the idea of consumption to translate tactile, gustatory and olfactory sensations into digital film. First-Gen Voices: Creative and Critical Narratives on the First-Generation College Experience

Commonly known as ICE, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement works to monitor the level of illegal migration to the United States. They also are in charge of at least 40% of deportation of innocent, non-criminal immigration violators. At times, the children of these immigrants are born in the United States. As US citizens, ICE cannot deport them without violating their rights, resulting in the separation of families. Finding aid only for Folklife Archives Project 612. Project conducted in Union County, Kentucky to identify and utilize local folk artists in county elementary schools. Folklorist Amy Davis and fieldworker/folk artist Sue Massek interviewed local folk artists and performers. Afterwards they made presentations in schools about the information they collected and invited some of the artists to perform and/or demonstrate.

Finding aid only for Folklife Archives Project 98. Project entitled "Basket Making in the Mammoth Cave Area." Interviews with basket makers concerning the history, process, marketing and distribution, social attitudes, historical patterns and aesthetics of basket making. Only transcriptions of the interviews were donated. Interviews were conducted by students in Lynwood Montell's Folk Art and Technology class, Fall 1977; also includes one 1974 interview.

Literary supplement of the College Heights Herald published each semester. It began as a class project for a Problems in Journalism class and was first published in January of 1969. The name is a French term meaning spirit. The goal of L’esprit is to provide, in as proper of a literary style as possible, an outlet for original poems, short stories, pictures and art work by students and faculty at Western Kentucky University
