Barriers: An Exploration Of Architectural Structures As An Indication Of Wealth And Socioeconomic Status, Lisa Demoranville

Honors Theses

I decided to explore the barriers and limitations of wealth through an investigation of architectural structures, focusing on popular industries and institutions on which our society commonly depends. I have noticed that places such as hospitals, schools, grocery stores, and restaurants differ dramatically depending on the neighborhoods in which they were located. This topic sparked my interest after living in Lima, Peru for a month, as I was able to observe the developing economy and dramatic division of wealth among the population. Freiden Skincare: Evolving Stigmas For The Sake Of Wellness, Gabrielle Graham

One of the biggest problems for game designers is balancing the difficulty of its content in such a way that it appeals to the largest audience possible. In order to broaden audiences, de-velopers need to invest effort into creating numerous, discrete balances that are aligned to ...

The current project sought to analyze the life and work of the designer Coco Chanel. Through investigation into her life course, values, contributions to art, theater, dance, fashion, and women’s rights, it is argued that Chanel embodied the time period in which she lived ; she both influenced, and was influenced by the cultural forces that predominated. Particular attention is paid to the time periods following World War I and World War II, two events that drastically changed artistic aesthetics, social norms, and life values. The post-war eras provided the fuel for the women’s liberation movement, ushering in the ...

Design And The Woman, Sharon Kluck

Honors Theses

Woman is a unique and almost mystic creature. Her role in society is limited only by her dreams and desires. One important aim in a woman's life is to appear her best at all times. By careful selection and a proper foundation in the art of clothing, she is well on her way to accomplishing her goal. With a thorough knowledge of her own physical characteristics and a few basics in the fundamental elements of design, the lady may be creative in applying these guides to her own needs. Each piece of clothing can be a delightful reflection of ...
