James Joyce told his friend Frank Budgen. “‘I want’ said Joyce, as we were walking down the Universitätstrasse, ‘to give a picture of Dublin so complete that if the city one day suddenly disappeared from the earth it could be reconstructed out of my book.’” (Budgen, 1960, p.67, 68).

This research looks at the relevance of Dublin to Joyce’s writings and to the relevance of Joyce’s writings to Dublin. It is concerned with the virtual Dublin of Joyce’s writings, the physical manifestation of Dublin over time, and the relationships between them.

This paper aims to identify the criteria of effective movie title sequence design. The research method is to generalize views common to different senior title designers and practitioners with regard to the criteria of effective movie title sequence design and then use these criteria to evaluate top box office Chinese domestic movies. The paper also analyzes problems of present Chinese domestic movie title sequence design and provides suggestions for improving them.

Post World War II, technological and political factors prioritized economic efficiency in food production, distribution and access. Although this currently delivers benefits such as the doubling of caloric production and food availability despite geographic constraints, the food system is becoming implicated both directly and indirectly with a host of environmental and social issues.
