MY DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Midway through my college career, I began working as an assistant to an Independent Living Specialist. He is very active in assisting disabled individuals find and receive the resources they need to live independently. He had me drawing floor plans to show his disabled clients how to follow the concept of "Aging in Place." The concept basically means that a home should function for the length of a life, childhood to old age. By incorporating simple elements such as 3-foot doors, walls enforced for handrails, and at least one entrance without a step you can eliminate some ...

Everybody has a different personality just like everybody has a different fingerprint. My goal is to design unique and original homes that reflect the difference in personalities and style.

“When designing a home, the only limit that faces you is your imagination and uniqueness, I do not design houses, I design homes that are beautiful, exceptional, and innovative”

I have been a designer all my life, examining objects and structures by the very small details that make them what they are. I love to create, reinvent, and modify any project that comes into my hands. I love how things work and are put together. I’ve always wanted to create designs that would make the public think in how they live their lives and how to treat the world around them. I want to be a designer that changes the world and helps those who can’t help themselves. I want to make the world a better place ...

I believe it is human nature to want to change the world, to leave your mark. An interior designer has many options to do this through codes, sustainability, and collectively changing the way humans interact in a space. While the aesthetics and functionality of a space are the main goals of a design there are many opportunities to improve on a way of life and this is what I find most important.

Most people consider Interior Design to be a luxury and something that only the wealthy and privileged can afford. However, this is not the case; anyone with any budget can have a space that they are proud to call their own. While the wealthy do have the ability to pay to furnish a room without regard to cost, which is not a criteria that alone determines whether or not you have a wonderful space. A more economical family may have to be more prudent with their furnishings purchases, but they still have the right to a beautiful, enjoyable, comfortable home ...

My design philosophy is to create an area that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but functional. Whether this is residential or commercial, I want you to feel comfortable about your surroundings. I want you to be able to enjoy the environment around you and feel right at home. This can be with commercial design also. I do not want someone to feel as if they are in a hospital. White walls feel institutional. I want to design places that make you feel at ease and comfortable, even if it is a place you do not necessarily want to be, such ...

Philosophy

Embracing the elements of design with the elements of nature.

Healthy interiors must draw inspiration from nature through its light, color, and sustainability; creating therapeutic spaces for all users. It is crucial to bridge the gap between all fields of design and cultures, bringing the innovations of healthy interiors to our homes, businesses, hospitals, and all aspects of the design process.

Interior design is not only a career it is also my passion. I have always had a passion for design especially when it comes to residential spaces. While there are many different rooms in a home I am always drawn to living rooms, bedrooms, and kitchens. Each room is like a different piece of a puzzle, they can all have their own personality, but still all fit together to create a wonderful home.

I believe quality design does not always have to be expensive. Using things we currently have and creating something else with it is a great way to be sustainable. Not only are you saving money by re-using and sprucing up old items but you are also creating a unique piece that no one else has! Why buy new when you can re-use?

Also pleasing clients is a tough job but my passion for interior design makes me want to achieve the vision that the clients have and create a space of their dreams by doing it with passion or not ...

Using Photogrammetry To Document, Analyze, And Reverse-Engineer Grave Markers, Robert Z. Selden Jr. Jan 2015

Using Photogrammetry To Document, Analyze, And Reverse-Engineer Grave Markers, Robert Z. Selden Jr.

CRHR: Archaeology

There are a wide range of applications for three-dimensional (3D) data in archaeology, and a diverse array of methods for collecting and analyzing those data. In this article, free 3D photogrammetry software (Autodesk 123D Catch) is used to document a series of grave markers. The data are subsequently exported to Geomagic Design X to demonstrate and briefly discuss the various potential analyses that might be used to illustrate the effects of preservation treatments and marker degradation through time. Further, one marker is reverse-engineered, illustrating the capacity of 3D modeling to expedite the process of design, should elements warrant replacement. Additional ...

I strive to meet others in their wholeness and individuality. To see them as unique individuals. The end goal is to create modern spaces that contribute to the health, safety, and welfare of the public. I design to bring a genuine smile to the many people I encounter.

Advances In Documentation, Digital Curation, Virtual Exhibition, And A Test Of 3d Geometric Morhpometrics: A Case Study Of The Vanderpool Vessels From The Ancestral Caddo Territory, Robert Z. Selden Jr., Timothy K. Perttula, Michael J. O'Brien Jan 2014

O'Brien

CRHR: Archaeology

Three-dimensional (3D) digital scanning of archaeological materials is typically used as a tool for artifact documentation. With the permission of the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma, 3D documentation of Caddo funerary vessels from the Vanderpool site (41SM77) was conducted with the initial goal of ensuring that these data would be publicly available for future research long after the vessels were repatriated. A digital infrastructure was created to archive and disseminate the resultant 3D datasets, ensuring that they would be accessible by both researchers and the general public (CRHR 2014a). However, 3D imagery can be used for much more than documentation. To ...
